HARP stands for HeFA Addiction Recovery Place, and our emblem is the instrument “harp.” Is an ancient instrument dated back as far as the time of King David, who, as yet a boy, was anointed to be king of Israel and who used this instrument to treat King Saul of his recurrent mental health breakdowns, causing calm and serenity in King Saul. One effective way of creating inner peace through reflection is through music, and HARP is dedicated to using music therapy as part of its recovery mode. HARP primary is into drug and alcohol rehabilitation and addiction as well as mental health research. Simply put, HARP refers to King David’s harp, while the others refer to the Scottish harp.
